The vision for Soul City was birthed out of their love for the Arts in Tulsa. Soul City started in 2011 as a simple art studio that housed both Amy and Kevin's collective art ventures including: Mosaic Art, Painting, Visual Arts and Graphic Design as well as installations, interior concepts and design.
Amy spent a few years booking the bands at Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks, OK and had a great relationship and reputation with the music community in Tulsa. When Amy and Kevin went into business as Studio Soul in September of 2011, they naturally had bands play at their studio every Friday night.
As time progressed and they moved from their small location (3rd and Lansing, Downtown) to the current location on Route 66 (housed in one of the first Texacos in Tulsa), they pursued an option for full bar and restaurant and decided to open The Soul City Gastropub in 2016. "With A Little Help From Their Friends", Soul City opened in March of 2016 and has consistently grown ever since.
We constantly joke and tell people it's like a "food truck without wheels" because of the size of the current kitchen but that's part of the charm of Soul City. Great food with great friends and drinks to boot in a non-pretentious atmosphere that you can bring your whole family to.
If you enjoy an inspiring atmosphere, artfully prepared food, the best in live music and craft beer & cocktails... Soul City is your destination for enjoying great times with good friends!
